WHAT ARE THE LEGAL RIGHTS OF PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS
Everyone who buys a house or owns a Property expect to control access to the property and exclude or accept public use, which will be done solely at his discretion. To make economic use of the property, including harvesting of trees and other natural resources. He should also be the one to choose the primary management goals or objectives, including the right to not use resources. He has the right to use, sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the property freely.
The law accords some certain rights to private property owners :
1. The right of possession: Every private property owner has the right to live or possess his house or land
2. The right of control: A owner should have control over his space to do what he wants but must not use it to interfere or disturb his neighbors
3. The right of exclusion: A private owner has every right to seek quiet use and enjoyment of property, free from unreasonable interference by others.
4. The right to derive income: A property owner has the right to make money from his house either by way of lease or tenancy or by outright sale of a part or the whole Property.
5. The right of disposition : Being the legal owner of his house with good title to the land, he can dispose of his land either by gift, by sale or leaving it to be inherited by his children or family members.
